Vienna metro

Vienna’s metro system is it one of the most modern in Europe. The Vienna metro operates daily between 5 am and 12:30. Trains depart around every 5 minutes. Timetables can be found here. For more detailed information, check out the following services: Wiener Linien journey planner 

The subway system consists of 5 lines – U1, U2, U3, U4 and U6. The trains stop at 104 stations along 74.6 km of track. All platforms are equipped with electronic information displays that show the waiting time in addition to the destination

Line U1 : Reumannplatz ↔ Leopoldau
Line U2 : Karlsplatz ↔ Seestadt
Line U3 : Ottakring ↔ Simmering
Line U4 : Hütteldorf ↔ Heiligenstadt
Line U6 : Siebenhirten ↔ Floridsdorf

Missing U5 Line: The designation U5 was used in planning but again and again for lines that, after detailed examination, proved not practical and where therefore not built
