The subway system consists of 5 lines – U1, U2, U3, U4 and U6. The trains stop at 104 stations along 74.6 km of track. All platforms are equipped with electronic information displays that show the waiting time in addition to the destination
• Line U1 : Reumannplatz ↔ Leopoldau
• Line U2 : Karlsplatz ↔ Seestadt
• Line U3 : Ottakring ↔ Simmering
• Line U4 : Hütteldorf ↔ Heiligenstadt
• Line U6 : Siebenhirten ↔ Floridsdorf
Missing U5 Line: The designation U5 was used in planning but again and again for lines that, after detailed examination, proved not practical and where therefore not built
